This is how it all started…
My leadership journey started with a cup of coffee and a question. I had watched a local veterinarian — a third-generation practice owner and community leader — quietly make a difference as the president of the Rotary Club, Boys & Girls Club, and other civic organizations. When I finally asked him to coffee, his generosity of spirit and perspective lit a fire in me: I wanted to lead by lifting others up.
That conversation became the first of many “curiosity conversations,” where I began learning how leaders think, connect, and serve. Over time, I discovered that leadership isn’t about having all the answers — it’s about creating space where others can thrive.
Today, my leadership is shaped by a mentor who taught me to lead with curiosity and build environments where everyone feels a sense of belonging. I believe great leadership happens when teams feel psychologically safe and know their voices matter. My proudest moments as a leader aren’t tied to metrics — they’re when I see my team grow, collaborate deeply, and provide the kind of care that transforms both pets and people.
